Fear, anxiety, lack of motivation can make day to day life harder than it needs to be. Ashton's perspective is informed by a systems perspective of our inner parts. When we are able to have self compassion we are able to feel more connected to the people that matter most to us. Ashton supports and challenges her clients to identify and work toward their own goals and values in therapy. She provides outpatient counseling for individuals.
Ashton has worked in settings including: medical outpatient, youth residential, wilderness therapy, public school, and outpatient therapy. She sees mental health beyond an illness-based perspective. Instead she views mental health as a continual process of learning new ways of being. She often uses nature as a way to aid in her work.
Contact Ashton if you are looking for a therapist with a fresh, warm, and empathetic perspective who will encourage you, or your son or daughter, to approach life's challenges from a different perspective. She is driven to help her clients build positive relationships, make positive changes in their lives, and to sustain healthy personal growth.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience. These can be powerful obstacles that can keep us from living the life we want to live. Through a mindfulness-based, whole body approach, we work help you find motivation, perspective, and joy in your life.
Many of us struggle with symptoms associated with painful and traumatic life events. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can persist after traumatic events. Through a systems based approach toward integration of your mind and body you may not only be able to manage your symptoms but work toward healing past wounds.
Relationships can be a key to finding meaning and purpose in our lives. Some of our important relationships can be a source of both connection and discord. Counseling can be helpful in all stages of a relationship. Therapy can be a safe and supportive place to discuss issues and find solutions to strengthen your relationships with those who are important to you.
